Empire of Fell Allanard
The empire of Allanard is ancient, even by elven standards. It was founded by Kyhalaerretyn approximately 10,000 years ago, when humans were little more than savages who had just begun to live in huts made of mud and reeds.
Over the centuries, the Fell, the dominant ethnic group of Allanard, created an invincible empire that took control of almost all the lands around the Inner Sea, extending across the three continents that surround it. As it expanded, Allanard encountered other elven powers, leading to incredibly long wars.
Little is known about these conflicts. The Stone Archives and the Emerald Tablets of Malukha tell of a terrible event about 5,000 years ago, likely a magical battle between Allanard and its adversary of the time, the empire of Zarihal. The exact details are unclear, but entire kingdoms vanished from the face of Agand, including Zarihal itself. Of others, only names remained, and of some, merely vague memories.
Gradually, humans and other short-lived species, such as Linket and Dwarves (the only ones the Fell regard without excessive contempt or condescension), gained more prominence. After a few millennia, human or dwarven kingdoms arose in many areas of the empire, as Allanard grew weary of constant wars against neighboring elven empires like Malukha or Kinmora.
Although in retreat, Allanard remained a great power, and even now, after a period that seems an eternity to human eyes, it is not ready to die. The Fell have become complacent, less inclined towards war and violence, but no less prone to asserting their rights over what they consider their ancestral lands.
Governed by an Emperor by divine right, whose title in Elvish is Tēgesōn (He who protects with authority), chosen by the Silver Goddess Sirin, the empire is an uncompromising autocracy. The will of the sovereign, whoever they may be, is law and must be respected.
Fortunately, tyrants have been few and have reigned for short periods. After all, trying to impose one's will on the elven nobility is one thing, but attempting to do so with the Silver Dragons is quite another.
The Empire foreign Policy is simple. The Inner Sea islands and the strongholds of Allanard on its shores are territory of Empire and shall be defended with force.
The Sack of Eretteia was a sign of this disposition.
Hayon is considered an enemy, but if Hayonite soldiers and fleet don't mess with Allanard's ones the war shall be remain cold.
With Rhovanian League, instead the situation is more tense, because the League is more a naval power than Hayon.
Akrai, instead, has the more simpatetic relation with Allanard. The Fell always considered this human kingdom with contempt, but not with direspect.
The Silver Dragon, said to have been sent by Sirin to aid the first emperor, is the symbol of Allanard. It is featured on the empire's flag, which flies atop the highest towers of Alyrr. The colors represent the sea and the silver scales of the Dragons.
